Where I'm At

Hello. . . is anybody still out there?

I've been taking some pics of my little wheelie house, and I thought you might like to see them.

These are obviously some of the NOW pics. If you'd like to see the THEN pics they're over on my Pinterest thingy. I'll be taking more NOWs as I get more done. And I'd really love to take some more taken-from-the-same-angle-so-as-to-better-see-the-comparison-type photos like this one. . .
I'm enjoying the process of making my little home mine, and looking forward to learning how to enjoy my own company.

Note to the wonderful people who donated to the Kickstarter campaign:
I've been working diligently on making all the rewards and got the first batch mailed out a few days ago, but I still have many many more to do. So if you're expecting something please don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you. (I've just had so much to figure out. Still have so much to figure out, but I'm getting there.)
Thank you all for being so patient with me!

  2. I am amazed at all you have done, I would never have been brave enough to paint that bright green...but it looks great and fresh and clean. I am still here and think of you often and hope you are finding your new way. My youngest went off to college 4 years ago. About 3 years ago I suddenly realized I didn't have a clue about who I was...I went through a couple of years of something...not depression...but not my happy self...This year I'm finding my footing again...You will come out the other side of this...When I saw you post about the kickstarter campaign and how hard you must be working to fulfill the orders ...I do hope you will benefit from this dream that is no longer...I hope you are surrounded by the "kiddos" this Christmas. You are loved by many...

  9. Yes, we are all still here :) I am sure that you will find that most of the good things are still there once you are able to "breathe" again. I know that I have carried a "coffin" in my heart for many years to protect myself (and filled it with what I was missing)-- I have finally found that my heart has grown even bigger around it, and that there have been a number of wonderful people that are filling that space with joy. Sending you love and sunshine to start refilling your heart :)

  10. Hello, I am lucky to say I have one of your sculpted dolls. Her name is bloomer. She is a flower. I had purchased her on Ebay when it was a fight to get one. I was wondering how things were going and had no idea your struggles. I am so sorry to hear about you and Dylan. Dylan always talked about your creations and how proud he was of his family and the antics in your lives. My heart is broken for you but am glad you are surrounded by such beauty. I have had a bought with depression and my house is crumbling in front of me. I am an artist as well and this mess I have let gather all around me has made me not paint or do anything much. You have inspired me Jo James and I am going to try to pick up some of the pieces in my home and spirit. My husband is still here but is chronically ill. He had a lung transplant close to eight years ago now. He started not being able to walk... about three and a half years ago. He is on dialysis three times a week which we get up at 5:30 am to get ready. I dress him, I lift him from bed to wheel chair, to car. I have him, but it's like I have lost him as well. The medicines he is on makes him not him anymore and even though we are not in the same boat, I feel were still floating down the same heartbreaking path. HUGS to you Jo James. I am here. Tammie S. 12. Your home looks really smashing!
I wanted to move out of my 3 bed house into a 2 bed static caravan, that's what we call them over here.
Statics aren't meant to be driven around, they have to be towed and are not for travelling from place to place in. Id fancied a 13' wide by 40' long one but in the end opted for a 2 bed house lol and am not long moved in myself.
( the kids swayed me and to be fair I didn't find a nice enough site to settle on)
Im so pleased your coming within sight of your 'tunnels' end, after such loss and disappointment. You've been forced into being yourself and in many ways, having met so young and been together so long, your probably only finding out who you really are, now!
You have such great talent and I hope you keep going forwards, despite the odd hiccups that may still occur from time to time. That's life, it throws us curve balls just to keep us on our toes!
I love the pelmet hangings above your windows! So pretty !
    Good luck girl!

Wishing you a New Year filled with love, joy and good health, you deserve it all! And don't worry about getting my Kickstarter reward to me, she will be welcomed with open arms whenever she arrives. {{Hugs}}, Deb

  17. Hello dear Jo! I posted about you and your work last year, on my blog. Remember? I love your work! I am here to see how you are and to wish you a GREAT NEW YEAR! All the best for you! I love your house on wheels and I would love to have one myself. I don't have a house of my own. Lately I've been thinking about it. I would like to have a tiny place I could call my own. The decoration is so happy! I bet you feel so good inside! :)

  18. Hi Jo, It's been awhile since I last visited your blog and so much has happened to you! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles but have faith that yes, you are stronger than ever before and you will find a way to turn all the bad to good. I love your creations; they always make me smile. I've got the after holiday slump so decided to visit for inspiration. Your whimsical creations brightened my spirit so much I just kept going back wards and re-visiting all your pages until I reached the first. Now I'm eager to start some creating of my own. May 2014 be a wonderful year for you. Hugs!

  20. Love the colors in the wheelie house. What an improvement! It looks very comfortable. I received my kickstarter gift yesterday. Thank you. I'm going to hang it up in my studio, which we are working on today. A wall hung swing arm lamp, over my table. and a ceiling paddle fan to move the wood stove hot air around. Now I have to clean up the space.

  21. Hi Jo, Just stopping by to check in how you and your work are doing, and thought I'd send some good thoughts your way. I have a Halloween banner that you made, and it is so beautiful, it's worth leaving it up all year round. Hope life has been sending you reminders of new possibilities and new adventures, and I hope you've been making it through.
