Water and boats and seals, oh my!

You'll be relieved to know that we did indeed survive our day off.
We got wet. Very very wet. The tiny boat was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew, The Cart would be lost.
Not really. It was just a windy, bumpy, wet and chilly ride.
But it was worth it to get to where we were going.
Our journey took us to Salishan Spit. (A rather unappealing name for a beautiful chunk of land.) Here is a small group of the very-many harbor seals we saw, looking at our merry band of less-than-pirates.
And here Papa, Lucy, and Abby are, looking at them.
After seal-watching there was picnic-having, and snuggles.
A lovely day.
Now it's back to work.

  1. BEAUTIFUL! JUST BEAUTIFUL! SEALS AND FAMILY! If I could stand the cold weather, I would love to live in your part of the country. But I am a southern girl through and through :+}

  5. If you have an Australian accent and say 'Salishan' you can't help but spit. A bit.
