Figured out how to work my new button/badge/pin maker! It was actually really easy (except that I'm having to cut those tiny circles out with scissors because the circle cutter is super spendy). I spent way too long figuring out how to do the graphics though. I miss my old program. It was a casualty of the computer crash. We tried to re-install it on the new computer, but it wasn't compatible. So we got the new version of the same program, only it's completely different and doesn't do a lot of the things that I want it to. Grrr! So I'm trying to learn my way around yet another new thing. I keep telling myself that it's good to learn new things. Right? Must be good, because those buttons are just the cutest little things!
Iwonder if you can get a circle punch at Joanns or Michaels? But at any rate they sure are charming!:) R'Chelle
ReplyDeleteJo - you are always thinking! I think Fiskars makes those squeeze level circle cutters in different sizes. This one is $22? Worth saving your hands for, dear. Read Edyth's recent post about how she hurt her hands so it curtailed her rug hooking.

Marta Stewart has a circle cutter I got at Michaels . When they have a 40 or 50 off coupon than it's not too pricey at all and has different sizes.
ReplyDeletebeen thinking about getting a button maker too! Love the smaller size of buttons- so cute! hope you feel it's worth the extra work of learning something new, because I think your customers are going to like!

ReplyDeleteHow cute! Don't you just love after all your hard work it turns out beautiful? Hugs, Terri
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Just like everyone else, I was going to say that you could get a circle punch for a great lower price at a crafty store. Save your hands for painting! :)

ReplyDelete...Yeah, I agree with the others, get yourself a circle cutter at Michaels. Easy peasy. And save those precious hands of yours for the good stuff. ;o)

ReplyDeleteMy $$ is ALSO on a MS circle cutter. I have neuropathy in my hands & feet - NO FEELING 95% OF THE TIME - & I have one of her circle cutters! So much easier on these hands! LOVE THE BUTTONS! I'm a sucker for buttons!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to make my images small also for my pendants and so many people ask me how to reduce the image without losing the quality. Not an easy task. I figure out how to do it in photoshop but not everybody have the program since is so expensive.
