Everybody is ready to be tucked in for their looong car ride.
It has been a very challenging few weeks! Since this is our very first in-real-life show, we had to make not only all the art, but some way of dispaying it as well. So dress rehearsal (places everyone!) finds an entire wall of our living room decked out in Halloweeny fabulousness.
We still have to put the finishing touches on the front banner, but overall I'm so pleased! Dylan made all the grandstands so that they come apart and lay flat so we can fit them into the Prius (we're borrowing it from my super nice mom) that we'll be driving to California.
I also finished our new sign yesterday.
It took much longer than I thought it would. Most stuff does.
We'll take lots of pictures at Halloween and Vine.
Hope to see some of you there!
. . .
Several of the new pieces will be available after the show as limited editions.
. . .
Dylan and I are both kinda shy, and nervous about meeting so many new people.
I hope they like us.
And (more importantly) I hope they like our work.
Wish us luck!
Everyone will love your work! You display is really awesome. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck and have a WONderful time!
ReplyDeleteThe grandstands are brilliant. It's as if your little ones are observers of the real show. Your work is exquisite. No worries!

ReplyDeleteJo, I just wanted to say again, what a beautiful display this is. And the art is ahhhh, completely precious. You're gonna hear nothing but sweetness when folks see your work. Things like 'AWWWW!' & 'OOOOHHHHH!' & especially 'I want them all!' Much luck! (I know a thing or two about overcoming shyness. It's hard. But you'll be fine!)

ReplyDeleteThey will love you and your works !!!
Good luck !!
Love the display & all the goodies!
ReplyDeleteYou won't have any problems selling your pieces. In fact, your table will be empty by the end of the day ;) Have fun!
First of all... GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd second... what's that old saying? "Success is 10 percent inspiration and 90 percent perspiration"???
You two are off the charts with your inspiration, and your work ethic speaks for itself... not to mention, the results... golly...
I predict that folks will be wishing they had shown up earlier because you'll be sold out sooner rather than later.
PS... make sure to bring some images with you so folks who get there later can still see your goodies and either make an order... OR... take a card and find more of your work online.
Have a great time!!!
BEST OF LUCK! TO THE CART...no worries, people are going to be blown away by your art. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteLIKE you? Oh, Jo! Everyone will LOVE you & Dylan! How could they NOT? And they will buy up everything you have on display because it's all so wonderful! BIG, BIG HUGS!
