I'm inspired by the projects I see here and there in Cyberland in which someone does something similarly creative everyday. There's Skull-A-Day or Toy-A-Day or my favorite What-Did-You-Buy-Today. I've seen many 365 projects, mostly about taking a picture everyday. My amazingly talented baby girl (who is 17 now but was just 7 a minute ago) wants to get on board with that 365 thing, but she felt like it had to start on January 1st and was thus late to the party. So she's doing a 342 project. Because she just doesn't have enough to do. (She actually really has enough to do.)
Here's her first entry-
(Told you she's amazingly talented.)
Anyway, I'm thinking my project will start next month, on my birthday. So now I just have to come up with what I want to do. I love the whole idea of it; the challenge of doing something everyday, the constancy, the documentary aspect. It can't take up too much time though, because I just don't have much extra.Meanwhile, I'd better get back to work.
Nope - you really don't have much extra time. I've been catching up on your blog (post holidaying) and you've convinced me. Lovely stuff going on at chez Cart!
ReplyDeleteI think you ALREADY do a project of some sort 365 days a year, lil' Jo! I get exhausted just THINKING about all your do! (But I surely am glad you DO it all because this spoiled brat LOVES reading about and seeing it all!) Big, big smiles & hugs to you (and Dylan.)
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent idea... I wonder if I could make a pin a day? Hmmmm
ReplyDeleteI agree! How could YOU squeeze in anymore! You are a machine!
ReplyDeleteA Super Cool Talented Awesome Machine.
(But hey, I'd LOVE to read about whatever you do! LOL!)
Hello, just wanted to let you know I'm passing on a blog award to you in honour of your creativity. Pop by my latest blog post to pick it up. :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about wanting to do a daily essay. I already do a weekly one on my regular blog called Where I Stand (its in its third year) but I wondered what it would be like to do a daily one.
ReplyDeleteSo I kept it simple and I'm doing the 365 Happy Things Project. http://365happythingsproject.blogspot.com/
Basically I just post a picture each day of something that made me smile. Its not as fancy as other projects but it forces me to slow down and look at my surrounding closer so its been interesting so far.
That is one talented offspring Jo!
