It's a big batch of beasties in the works this week. Got everybody's base coats on and getting ready to bust out the stain. I think everybody looks so tacky at this stage, but the staining bit starts to bring them to life. Made some progress on this pair of pumpkin people too. Got their base colors all blocked in too, and now I'm impatiently waiting for them to dry so I can finish them up (the very best part).
What are you up to today?
I'd love to know what your day looks like.
(I love getting glimpses into other people lives. I guess I'm just nosy like that.)
Loving your Pumpkin People!
ReplyDeleteFabulous looking table.
ReplyDeleteWell, today I took 25 children (aged 10 to 11) to our local independent cinema. There we watched bits of the Franco Zeffirelli version of Romeo and Juliet. 98% of the kids speak English as a second language, inspite of this they "got it"; wrote about it and only complained because "there was too much kissing!".
What fun!
DeleteAnd you must be a brave woman to take 25 tweens anywhere :)
Love seeing the different stages of your pieces, Jo. Pumpkin People look like they're going to be quite the adorable couple! As for me, took time off from my creative endeavours today, brought my furry-child over to my mom's and did a little indoor fall cleaning with her. Overall, very peaceful, pleasant day.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your next post...
Michele
I see an alice and a white rabbit there? ..I'm really loving how the pumpkin people are turning out, cant wait to see them finished
ReplyDeleteToday has been a quiet day, played the guitar for hours, and gave the last coat of paint to my second dollmaking attempt
I really love the pumpkin people. It's fun to see what you're working on. I think I'm a bit of a voyeur too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're going to have a busy day! Love the pumpkin people. Me? I just got up and having my first cup of coffee.
