This week's devil ornament is just the latest incarnation in a long line of characters cut from the same cloth, so to speak.
I thought I'd share the Cat Cone template with you all,
so that you too might have fun exploring the possibilities.
Just print it out (preferably on card stock, if you can). Then trace it onto doubled-over fabric. Then sew right on the lines. Then cut it out about 1/4" from your sewn lines. Then snip on the dotted line through ONE layer of fabric (this makes your hole for stuffing). Turn inside out. Then stuff with something fluffy. Finally, stitch the stuffing hole closed, and decorate to your heart's content.
What will YOU make of it?
aww joee! yer the best.. amazing how different each of them looks! always interested in learning new ideas and techniques.. have a great weekend!

I am DYING over the cats! I'm a total cat person. Thank you so much for sharing such a cute pattern! I will have to try this out. Hey, maybe you could consider posing a contest where participants have to use your pattern to create their own Cat Cones?! :) I can't wait to create mine... think I need to have them look like my furry boys.

ReplyDeleteI love the cone cats and was thinking I would love to make some to hang around the house. Thank you so much for the template. Mine will probably be a lot simpler and prim, but will try and see what I can come up with.

You are SUCH a sweetheart, lil' Jo! THANK YOU! I am SOOOOO going to play & see what kind of cone critters I come up with. I'll show you what I do if I'm not TOO mortified. It's intimidating showing my poorly sewn stuff to someone who can make ANYTHING! Heehee - I WILL tho', anyway! I LOVE what YOU did with the devil. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the kitties. Thank you for sharing the pattern. They are so unique. I agree with the above statement though....it is your immense, immeasurable talent and imagination that makes all of your work come to life.
