I got a new camera for my birthday recently! Actually, I got a gift card which I used on a new camera. The one I picked wasn't in stock, so Dylan just went to pick it up yesterday. It's a little Nikon CoolPix L110. Today it came out of its box! I haven't read the manual yet, but I couldn't wait to take it for a test drive. Our old digital camera is 8 years old, which is apparently like 80 in tech-years. It had to be set up on a tripod for all but the brightest outdoor scenarios. I wanted to see how this new one did under hand-held-crappy-light circumstances (as is the regular day-to-day state of things).
So I snapped a bunch of random pics around The Cart. . .
They're not great yet, but already so much easier than our last dinosaur of a camera.
Yay for new toys!
Which one did you get?
ReplyDeleteMine is getting to that stage too.
I had anti shake with my sony and that worked nice, the minolta I got is nice since I can change the lens and great when we go on outdoor trips, but I shake too much now.

Good for you.... good photos are so fun to take and the camera is essential. Love looking at your images and your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteYay! New camera!
ReplyDeleteOh, fun! Enjoy your new camera!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, Jo. But, er, you still took better pics with your dinosaur than I do with any camera of any age.
ReplyDeleteThink of you often; many blessings to you

YAY! So glad you got a nice new camera! I think the photos look terrific! I suspect I'm about due for a new one pretty soon! Holding out though - I'm afraid I'm one of those 'don't replace it till it croaks' kinda people. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love the Nikon Cool Pics series! Yay for new toys!!
ReplyDeleteHooray!! That old camera was terrible. I also thought it was hilarious that you were worried the Nikon CoolPix would require AA batteries. Like cameras use physical batteries anymore!! Hardy har.
