Paper mache and first layer of paperclay done. Now to do some touch-up clay, drying, sanding, then I can start with the painty paint. That's my favorite part!
wow, i love seeing the step by step process. it's so fascinating. i want to give paper mache a try... i've worked with polymer clay before.... and have done the paper strip kind of paper mache.. do you make your own paper clay or buy it? I love what everyone is creating with it! i can't wait to see your little creations come alive!
OHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO, JOOOOOOOO! You won't believe this, but I too have started several (4 actually) clay over paper mache eggs. Not HUMPTYS, but still. And after seeing YOURS, I think I may just quietly and discreetly carry MY pitiful lil' critters outside to Ye Olde Trash Can! Yours are MAHHHH-VELOUS! Can't wait to see them finished!
...You are so stinkin' amazing! And I mean that in the BEST way! ;o)
ReplyDelete...Too cute - I can't wait to see the finished items!
...Happy Weekend!
...Blessings... :o)
Those are so fun. I got plastic eggs to use with my braided eggs. I sanded them first and then glued the braids on.

They are too cute! May I ask how you drilled the holes to attached the legs without shattering the plastic egg?? They are truly inspired!
